During hurricane season, electric cooperatives work together

As any line worker can tell you, hurricane season can be a busy time, and 2020 was no exception. During the year, a network of electric cooperatives all across the country helped each other out by sending workers and vehicles to affected areas when needed.

Crews from Dixie Electric were particularly busy in 2020 and traveled to Mississippi after Hurricane Delta, Louisiana after Hurricane Laura, and Alabama after Hurricane Sally. Though they may work in different areas, electric workers are just one big, country-wide family who do their best to keep their communities safe and connected.
