Companies and communities prepare for a big Christmas storm

Every year, companies and communities must endure winter storms, and sometimes those storms happen to fall over the Christmas holiday. While most people can stay inside by the fire, electric workers often need to be on call to make sure they can get the power back on for everyone as soon as they are safely able to. 

In Connecticut, the workers at Eversource and United Illuminating both experienced that exact situation, and prepared for potential outages by making sure everything they might need to get the power back on was in position to go. They also provided information to customers on how to prepare for a power outage and gave tips on how to storm-proof homes and properties.
