There is no such thing as too safe

Millions of injuries occur in the workplace throughout our nation every year, and a lineworker’s job is more dangerous than most.

Logan County Electric Cooperative Director of Operations and Safety Daniel Ashcraft understands this, and he is now one of the few electric utility professionals in the country who has completed the intensive program in electric utility safety and loss control offered by the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association in conjunction with the National Utility Training & Safety Education Association.

The program is difficult, involved, and requires ongoing education, but in the end, the additional knowledge about safety techniques is worth it. Even in organizations that already prioritize safety, as many electric companies, including Logan County Electric Cooperative, do, one can never be too careful, and receiving the CLCP certification is one big step toward making the workplace a safer environment for everyone.
