New license plates show gratitude for linemen in Florida

Lineworkers are often in the background supporting community infrastructure, but the work they do affects nearly everyone’s lives in every state. Without power, our modern world doesn’t function, and lineworkers are key to keeping the power on. 

To recognize this often unappreciated work, Florida will be releasing “Thank a Lineman” license plates, available to all Floridians so they can show their gratitude for the men and women helping to keep the lights on. 

The proceeds from the plate’s fees will go to scholarships that prepare students for a career as lineworkers.
