Angel Flood: An angel in a flood

During times of disaster, the best of humanity often comes to the forefront. This was the case in 2021 after Hurricane Ida, when a woman named Angel Flood became an angel in a flood to many lineworkers by offering food, aid, and kind words to those working to rebuild.

But Angel wasn’t the only angel out there–thousands upon thousands of people came out to help the lineworkers after Hurricane Ida, offering everything from food to assistance with laundry.

As weather events become more common, lineworkers are increasingly recognized by the communities they serve. They brave treacherous conditions in the toughest storms with the sole purpose of helping their fellow citizens. If that’s not a hero, we don’t know what is.
